NUMBER 1 IN THE LIME INDUSTRY
LEP Lignite Energy Pulverized from Rheinbraun Brennstoff (RBB) is the number 1 energy source in the lime industry, and with good reason. LEP is a fuel boasting a particularly attractive, stable price whose high net calorific value makes it ideal for modern lime kilns. It is putting an end to the lime industry’s dependence on volatile energy sources like gas, hard coal or petroleum coke. Energy costs can be calculated for the long-term.
RBB has developed unique expertise in industrial processes specific to the lime sector over the course of decades of working together with the lime industry at a corporate and individual level. This expertise led us to create a high-quality fuel manufactured from Rhenish lignite. The lime industry is reaping the benefits.
CONSISTENTLY HIGH NET CALORIFIC VALUE
Its high level of volatile matter, consistent grain size and consistently low water content give LEP a high and constant net calorific value. Its ideal burning characteristics make for energy-efficient industrial processes.
VERY LOW SULPHUR AND ASH CONTENT
LEP has been used to burn high-quality lime for around 30 years as a result of its very low sulphur and ash content. The burnt lime can be used in the iron, steel, paper, fertilizer, sugar, soda and construction materials industries, as well as in wastewater and emissions treatment.
HIGH LEVELS OF WHITENESS FOR BURNT LIME
LEP allows consistently high levels of whiteness to be achieved when burning lime. LEP’s burning characteristics thus help to ensure that the end product is of the very highest quality.
MEETS STATUTORY EMISSIONS GUIDELINES
The low ash and sulphur content of LEP makes compliance with statutory emissions an easy task.
LOW SPACE REQUIREMENT,
FAST CONVERSION
LEP combustion units stand out thanks to their low space requirements and high control speed. Existing lime kilns running on hard coal, natural gas or petroleum coke can be easily converted to run on LEP. The investment will pay for itself in a few short years.
